What’s the main advantage of GEN24 + Reserva vs AC-coupled batteries?
DC coupling minimises conversions, delivering ~90–95% round-trip efficiency so you keep more of your solar and boost self-consumption.
How big can the Reserva system go?
Each tower offers 6.3–15.8 kWh. Up to four towers can run in parallel for a total of up to 63 kWh of usable storage.
Is backup seamless/instant?
No. Full-home backup requires Fronius switching hardware and has a non-instant switchover (approx. 10–30 seconds). The trade-off is robust three-phase coverage once running.
Can I do three-phase whole-home backup?
Yes — with Symo GEN24 Plus power classes that support Full Backup and the appropriate Fronius Backup Controller/Switch.
What battery chemistry does Reserva use?
Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) — chosen for safety, thermal stability and long service life.
Does adding more towers increase peak power?
Capacity scales up, but instantaneous peak power is constrained by per-tower current limits and inverter ratings. Design is optimised for energy volume and daily cycling.
Is the system open to other brands?
Reserva is designed for Fronius hybrid inverters (GEN24 Plus). The tight ecosystem simplifies service and warranty under one brand.
What about monitoring and service?
Fronius Solar.web provides centralised monitoring. Installers leverage Solar.SOS for rapid troubleshooting and parts. Strong AU presence supports long-term uptime.
How does GEN24 + Reserva work with the Jousto Energy Hub?
The Hub orchestrates loads (EV, hot water, HVAC) and can align battery behaviour with TOU or NEM spot pricing to maximise savings.
