Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Jousto platform, operated by Honen Investments Pty Ltd ATF Honen Family Trust No2 (ABN 49 751 504 027) ("Jousto", "we", "us"). By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.

1. What Jousto does

Jousto is a system selection, product comparison, and lead generation platform. We help consumers understand their options for home and commercial energy systems — including solar, battery storage, hot water, air conditioning, and related products — and connect them with SAA-accredited local installers and service providers.

Jousto is not an installer, retailer, or energy provider. We do not install systems, supply equipment, or enter into contracts for the supply of energy. Any installation or supply agreement is made directly between you and the installer or provider.

2. Use of the platform

You may use the Jousto platform to:

• Browse and compare energy system options and indicative pricing
• Submit enquiries to receive quotes from local installers
• Use Help Me Choose to receive personalised recommendations
• Book a design session with a Jousto energy advisor
• Access cost guides, buyer guides, and educational content

You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems.

3. Pricing and quotes

Prices shown on Jousto are indicative installed prices based on typical market rates. They include standard installation and (where applicable) federal STC rebates. They are not firm quotes and may vary based on your specific property, system configuration, and installer pricing.

A firm quote will be provided by the installer or service provider following assessment of your specific requirements. Jousto makes no warranty as to the accuracy of indicative pricing.

4. Lead enquiries and installer contact

When you submit an enquiry through Jousto, your contact information and project details are shared with one or more SAA-accredited local installers or service providers relevant to your enquiry. By submitting an enquiry, you consent to being contacted by those installers regarding your project.

Jousto does not guarantee the quality, conduct, or licensing of any installer. All installer relationships are independent. You should verify installer credentials, obtain multiple quotes where appropriate, and conduct your own due diligence before entering into any agreement.

5. Recommendations and guides

Content on Jousto — including Help Me Choose recommendations, cost guides, and product information — is provided for general information purposes only. It does not constitute financial, legal, or technical advice. You should obtain professional advice specific to your circumstances before making any significant purchasing decision.

6. Affiliate links and commissions

Some products featured on Jousto link to affiliate partner websites (including Commission Factory partners). Jousto may receive a commission if you purchase through these links, at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not influence our product recommendations.

7. Intellectual property

All content on the Jousto platform — including text, images, recommendations, and code — is owned by or licensed to Honen Investments Pty Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jousto and its directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our platform or reliance on any information or recommendation provided.

Where liability cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to resupply of the relevant service.

9. Installer portal and lead buyer terms

Installers and businesses accessing the Jousto Installer Portal are subject to additional terms and conditions agreed to at registration, including lead purchase terms, rejection policy, and credit conditions. Those terms form part of the agreement between Jousto and the installer/buyer.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at jousto.com.au/terms. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
