When you use Jousto — including completing a quote form, using Help Me Choose, or booking a design session — we may collect:

  • Your postcode and property details (e.g. roof type, household size)
  • Your energy preferences and product interests
  • Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
  • UTM parameters and referral source (for understanding how you found us)

We collect this information directly from you when you submit a form or interact with our platform.

2. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Provide you with energy system recommendations and indicative pricing
  • Share relevant details with a suitable local dealer for site assessment and installation, while Jousto stays involved
  • Send you your quote, booking confirmation, or recommendation results
  • Follow up with relevant information about your enquiry
  • Send occasional email communications (where you have opted in)
  • Improve our platform, content, and recommendations
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third-party marketers.

3. Sharing your information with installers

Jousto operates as a lead generation and system selection platform. When you submit a quote request or enquiry, your contact details and project information are shared with one or more SAA-accredited local installers or service providers who are relevant to your enquiry. This is the core purpose of the platform.

Installer partners who receive your information are required to handle it in accordance with applicable privacy laws. They use it only to respond to your enquiry.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services which may process your data:

  • GoHighLevel (GHL) — CRM and lead management
  • Google Analytics / Google Ads — website analytics and advertising measurement
  • Stripe — payment processing (for installer/buyer credit purchases only)
  • OpenAI — AI-assisted content generation (no personal data is submitted)

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

5. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, analyse site usage, and improve your experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly as a result.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Lead enquiry data is typically retained for up to 24 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see section 8).

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. Our systems use HTTPS encryption, session-based authentication, and access controls.

8. Access, correction, and deletion
