Jousto Pole - Power + Comms

The Jousto Pole – Power + Comms combines autonomous off-grid energy with integrated communications infrastructure, allowing connected equipment to be deployed in locations without mains electricity or fixed internet access. The platform incorporates a 475W Trina solar panel, 12V 100Ah battery, Victron SmartSolar MPPT charging, Victron battery protection and protected DC power distribution. Integrated 4G communications are provided by a TP-Link TL-MR6400 LTE router, creating a local network and internet connection for compatible devices. This allows cameras, sensors, telemetry systems, industrial equipment and IoT devices to communicate remotely without requiring fixed broadband infrastructure at the site. The communications equipment is powered directly from the Jousto DC architecture using regulated DC conversion, avoiding the unnecessary losses associated with converting battery power to 240V AC and back to DC. The system can be used as a standalone remote connectivity platform or expanded later with local compute, Home Assistant automation, cameras, AI monitoring, environmental sensors and other Jousto modules.
