Jousto Container 42/120

The Jousto Container 42/120 is a high-capacity autonomous energy and edge-infrastructure platform designed for sites requiring substantial renewable generation together with significantly greater energy storage. The system combines approximately 42kWp of deployable solar PV with 120kWh of integrated battery storage and a 40kW inverter inside a standard 10-foot shipping container. Its fold-out solar architecture allows a large solar array to be transported as part of the containerised system and deployed at the destination, significantly reducing the need for permanent site infrastructure. The 120kWh battery configuration provides twice the energy storage of the Jousto Container 42/60, making it particularly suited to locations with large overnight loads, mission-critical equipment, intermittent weather conditions or applications where generator use needs to be minimised. The system supports grid-connected operation, standalone off-grid operation and off-grid operation with generator backup. Multiple systems can also be operated together where additional generation, storage or power capacity is required. Every Jousto Container 42/120 includes a Jousto Pole 180°. The included Pole provides a separate autonomous layer of communications, compute, automation and site monitoring. Its independent 475W solar system and 100Ah battery allow the Pole to continue providing critical site communications and monitoring even if the main container system is offline for maintenance or another reason. Integrated 4G connectivity provides remote access to the site, while Home Assistant Green provides local compute and automation. The included Reolink 16MP dual-camera AI monitoring unit provides approximately 180-degree visual coverage together with integrated lighting and intelligent event detection. Additional sensors, cameras, environmental monitoring devices, relays and IoT equipment can be connected to the Jousto platform as site requirements evolve. This makes the Jousto Container 42/120 suitable not only as an off-grid energy system but as the infrastructure foundation for increasingly intelligent remote sites.
